Yes Southern California Hockey fans are hollering, "GO DUCKS" as our Anaheim Ducks trounced the Ottawa Senators 6-2. I never paid much attention to hockey until my daughter's boyfriend, Jeff, came along. He is originally from Canada and more recently hails from Minnesota, and he likes the sport very much. He vacillates between Edmonton Oilers and Minnesota Wild as his favorite team. One day I told Jeff, "Son you're living in California now, you should support the local team!" He smiled gentleman-like to me, but wouldn't commit. So two Christmases ago I came up with the brilliant idea of sending the both of them to a Ducks game. I bought them both a Ducks jersey and Jeff a nice Ducks hat and tickets to the Edmonton Oilers vs. Ducks game. The kids went to the game, but only Stef wore the Ducks jersey and Jeff wore his Oilers jersey. Nothing like making big points with your future mother-in-law EH? *shakin head* So after the huge victory last night by the Ducks, I'm sitting here thinking I need to send a little text message off to Jeff. Just something short and sweet, mmm something to the effect of "How do you like me now?!"
